Azaleas in bloom!

This past weekend our friends Anthony and Joy came down for a visit.   We had such a good time talking, catching up, and talking talking talking some more.  It is so great to be encouraged and challenged by Christian friends.  On Sunday after church we went to the Norton Art Gallery where the azalea gardens were in full bloom!

A Day at the Park

This past week my Mom and Sister came down for a visit for a few days.  We all had a great time and the weather cooperated wonderfully.  On Saturday we went to the park and had a picnic and then watched Keziah bounce all around the playground equipment, quite happy to have four adult's devoted attention.

Yes, that is a real mustache that Zach is sporting.  It's a "work thing" for the month of March and very thankfully will be shaved in just another week!

Zach and I took a week long trip back to Colorado Springs to visit friends.  We had such a good time and got to see so many good friends.  When we are back it feels as though we have not been away.  My only picture taking day was our last day there.  Zach went snowboarding at Vail, and Aunt Carey, Keziah and I went to the Cheyenne Mountain zoo.

Keziah absolutely LOVED feeding the giraffes, not afraid of their long tongues at all

How about a kiss Carey?

Probably my favorite part was seeing mountain lions this close!

I think Peacocks are beautiful and fascinating!

Keziah also loved watching the otters, and giggled with delight at their playfulness

Farewell to Schmooz

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our much beloved kitty, Schmooz.  He had been sick for about a month, so we at least had the opportunity to prepare to say goodbye.  However that didn't seem to make it any easier, and we shed many many tears for him.  Our house will not be the same without him.  As Zach and I reminisced last night we shared all of our favorite memories of him.  He sure was one of a kind.  We both feel grateful for the years that we had him and that he added joy and sweetness to our lives.
