Thank You All

Zach again braves the blogging world and would like to thank Dad and Mom, Kevin and Janet, and Grandma Faye for the birthday money that enabled me to buy this cool piece of history.  Thanks also go to my beautiful bride that discovered it while we were scouring antique shops a couple of weekends ago.  You are looking at a 1960-1970's era U.S. fighter pilot helmet with oxygen mask.  Interestingly, though the styling has changed, my current flying helmet is basically the same.  I am adding this to my collection of Air Force/Flying related memorabilia that I hope one day will outfit a WWII/Strategic Air Command style office.  Thanks again!

Hi, that is a great find, it's an old HGU-33 helmet, it's lacking a piece (visor lock knob) but looks like it's in pretty good condition. I have not seen one of these in a long time. I'm a former US Navy parachute rigger, I used to maintain all flight/survival equipment for my aircrew.
