The New Year in Olathe

We spent Christmas day at home in Louisiana, and had a wonderful dinner with our neighbors and friends, Tim and Kristin.  Then on Dec. 29th, we drove up to Olathe to spend Christmas with my family over the New Year.  The gifts were abundant, the house was cozy, the food and treats were delicious, and the time with family sweet.  I was sick the whole week we were there, so I didn't take as many pictures as usual.  Still, here are a few:

You never can tell what a child's favorite gift will be.  Out of the many, many gifts Keziah received, her favorite seemed to be some new shoes, and an Elmo toothbrush/toothpaste set, which she immediately put in her mouth with the plastic still on.

To celebrate the end of 2008 and incoming of 2009, Dad took us all out for a wonderfully fancy dinner at the Marina Grog and Galley.

HAPPY New Year!!

I LOVE my Aunt Jonna!

For dessert Pa Pa enhances his already favored status by feeding Keziah some of his chocolate cake with raspberry glaze
