Wisehart Wedding

This past weekend Zach, Keziah and I got to fly to Phoenix for the wedding of one of Zach's friends from the Academy and pilot training.  We met his wife, Lisa, for the first time and could see right away what a good match they are.  The wedding was beautiful, and the reception was a fun reunion as Zach got to catch up with quite a few old friends.

The things we do to our kids

This year's pumpkin carving happened after Halloween at the Miller household. But as with every year, Zach's creative genius was at work. This year he decided to carve a pumpkin suit for Keziah. So first she helped to clean it out, then Zach carved, and then we put it on. Can't say she enjoyed it, but we sure did!

A Pet Experiment

Well, the story starts like this... I've been thinking for a while now that it would be fun to have a pet pig. So this past weekend Zach and I visited a huge tent sale in Canton Texas where individual sellers sell everything from turtles to horses, from used tools to furniture. It's just this enormous sale that happens once monthly. Well, while there we found some adorable little miniature pot belly pigs. We really fell for one in particular, who was 10 weeks old, and I knew right off that this was my formerly named "Pam". After a good bit of talk and consideration we decided to take the plunge and buy the pig. We were assured that they are very low maintenance, can be house broken, and are just all around great pets. And as you can see from the pictures she is very very cute.

I will spare you the details in between and just tell you that yesterday, after a two day stay with us, Pam found another home. She was a little more high maintenance than we were prepared for and 5 minutes after I posted her on the pet classifieds a lady and her son came to look at her and take her home. Quite an adventure. Lessons learned: 1) We won't be getting any more pets until we have kids old enough to care for them 2) We won't be getting any more pigs until we live on a farm. ;-)

Costume Fun

Friday night we dressed Kez up and went to visit our friends. All the kids looked so cute, so attached are some pics. After visiting the friends we went to our church where they had a great Fall Festival.
