The Corn Maize

On Sunday we went to a place called the Corn Maize with the Kopke's. The weather felt a little more like summer than fall, but we had a great time doing lots of fall activities.

First Keziah pet the duck.....

Then she pet the duck's beak.

"oooohhh, did you see what I did?!"

Though she was a little timid the last time, this time she very much enjoyed the cow train

Aidan and Keziah - the difference one year can make

A little love among friends.

On your marks.... get set.......

GO!

Though it made for great pictures last year, Kez was not a big fan of the corn bin this year

The corn maize.  Aidan and Keziah got to ride in the wagon.

The hayride out to the pumpkin patch

Dad!  I found one!

I don't know Kez, this one seems a little big...

"Cool!  Aidan look a chicken, let's pet it"

"Hey, back off  you fuzzy headed girl!"

"Hey, where are you going...."

"COME BACK!"

Playing "boo" with Dad

Peek-a-boo is still a fun game!

Some might think it just for babies, but peek-a-boo remains a fun game through the toddler times. It just changes subjects from parent to child. If you listen close towards the middle of the video you will hear her say her rendition of her name which sounds like "yiya" And yes, that is a diaper cover on her head.

Kez is 15 months old!

Well, it is sort of her golden birthday.... Kez is 15 months old on the 15th of September.  It is a good age except for the teeth that she is getting, which are much later in coming than what is normal.  She still does her sign language, but says most of the words along with the sign now.  And though she only has four teeth, she eats like crazy.

SHE LOVES:
giving kisses
reading books
taking baths
helping mom with everything
her pacifier
having her toenails painted
putting things where they belong
shoes and hats
saying "no" (unfortunately)
imitating anything you say or do     and
bananas and grapes

Showing off the late bloomers (aka two front teeth)

Spontaneous piano duet

Labor Day Camping Trip

We went camping over Labor Day weekend for the first time with Kez.  We met up with Zach's friend Drew, and Drew's brother and Dad in Broken Bow Oklahoma.  While there we noticed we were the only people without a boat and/or an RV.  After the first night we figured out why no one in the south does "tent camping"....... yep, no need for our 0 degree sleeping bags here.  Keziah did great, seemed to love every minute of being in the outdoors, and also slept well in our own tent.   We enjoyed great camping meals, a few short hikes, playing games, and talking around the campfire.   Since Zach and I met while camping over Labor Day weekend four years ago, we hope to make it a tradition each year!
