Hidden Oak Farms

We took a day trip to a place nearby called Hidden Oak Farms with the Kopke's. It is a petting zoo/zoo and just a really neat place. I think I enjoyed it even more than the kids did, but all had fun. Here's a few of the hundreds of pictures that we took. The Kopke's have a digital slr camera and we enjoyed using it so much that we decided we need to get one as well.

My Friend Aidan

Aidan is my good friend. We like to do things together. We play. We share toys. And sometimes we fight and make each other cry, but what good friends don't? But mostly we just look cute together in pictures.

On our last day there, after the rest of the family had left for home, Zach, Kez and I went to a bluegrass festival called the Grand Targhee.  It was a beautiful spot to listen to some good bluegrass music.   There were also some fun activities for the kids there.

Anniversary #3

Our third year anniversary was August 6th. We were up in Wyoming for vacation and Zach planned a surprise date for me. We left the baby with the family, and took off for a "hike". We had a short hike up to a neighboring cabin where we met a nice family who were caterers. We had hors d'oeuvres with them out on their deck and witnessed a beautiful rainbow that was so close I couldn't capture it all in one shot. Then we hiked a short way on their property to a teepee. Inside was a most beautiful and romantic setting; soft music and candles all over with tree stumps for our ground-sitting tables. Then our salads were brought out to us, and after that a delicious sun-dried tomato and artichoke pasta, and a while later some peach cobbler for dessert. It rained, but we stayed dry in the teepee and just enjoyed listening to it fall on the canvas. My husband continues to court me through our marriage by planning unique surprise dates for me. God gave us a very good gift in each other.

Simon Family Vacation - Part 1

This past week we went on vacation with my family to Wyoming. We stayed in a beautiful log cabin located about half way between Jackson Hole and Pinedale. My parents were there along with their two dogs, my Grandma, Kim and Kevin and Jonna. We really got to see and do a lot while there. Our first excursion was to visit Yellowstone, and if any of you have been there, you know that there is no way to do it in a day. However, we did get to see quite a bit as we visited Old Faithful and the geyser basins, and then the Upper and Lower falls of the grand canyon of the Yellowstone. Even though I worked there years ago, and have visited several times since, it is no less awe inspiring each time I see it. On the drive out we got to see lots of wildlife, including some buffalo, elk, and a grizzly bear. We didn't get close enough to get good pictures of any except the buffalo.

Daddy's little girl

If you could see Kezzie's face every time she spots her Dad, you would know that it is not just a cliche to call her Daddy's little girl. She lights up at his every entrance to a room that she is in, or any time he returns home from work. She also loves wearing hats, so here she is wearing Daddy's Airforce hat.
