Zach Deploys

Yesterday, February 18th, Zach deployed to Guam for four months. Though I miss him terribly already, I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful that he is only deployed for four months. I am thankful that he is in the tropical resort location of Guam, and that I can go visit! I am thankful for the wonderful community of friends that God has given us here, and how they have rallied around me and Keziah during this time. And as with all things that are difficult, there is usually a blessing associated with them, even if it comes in the form of character developed or lessons learned. I know that God will teach both Zach and me during this time, and I also know that He will grow our spirits together despite the distance.

Zach got to the island safely yesterday, and I was already able to talk with him today via webcams and Skype. It is so wonderful to live in the day and age of "Jetsons" type technology. And though it is a relatively safe deployment, I know we would both appreciate your prayers as there are always risks involved.

Here are some pictures of Zach and Keziah as a tribute to the sacrifice he is making in being away from his family.

Valentines Day

I am convinced that there is no better husband for me than Zachary John Miller. God loves me SO well through him. He is the love of my life and though I never thought I'd say it, he really was worth the wait. To celebrate Valentines Day we did some fine dining at a great little Italian Restaurant while some friends watched Keziah for us. Keziah's valentine was Aidan.

Keziah is 8 months old

On the 15th of February, Keziah turned 8 months old. She is doing so well these days, and I enjoy her quite a lot. She is however getting into everything as she is happily mobile and growing in independence. No words yet or teeth, but all in due time.

Some ride horses... Kezzie rides the moose!

This'll do

Kezzie is standing more and more on her own, and yesterday she found a tin in the living room that she decided would work as a walker. It's so much fun to watch her little stages of development, so I thought I'd share.....

Giggles with Dad

When Dad gets home Keziah knows it's play time. This particular day he was crawl/chasing her and she just giggled and giggled with delight.

Urban Climbing, my little climber

Louisiana doesn't have so many rock faces, so Keziah practices her urban climbing moves on the dresser. I just missed the part where she pulled herself up from the bottom handle, and it picks up there. It might not look like much, but remember that she really isn't standing or walking by herself yet, so she is balancing....

She shows off in this one with her one arm hang. She also likes to eat some of her "hand holds"

Note in this one her great lateral moves and arm reaches. Okay, so maybe I'm just dreaming of her climbing, but it sure is fun!
