A Pet Experiment

Well, the story starts like this... I've been thinking for a while now that it would be fun to have a pet pig. So this past weekend Zach and I visited a huge tent sale in Canton Texas where individual sellers sell everything from turtles to horses, from used tools to furniture. It's just this enormous sale that happens once monthly. Well, while there we found some adorable little miniature pot belly pigs. We really fell for one in particular, who was 10 weeks old, and I knew right off that this was my formerly named "Pam". After a good bit of talk and consideration we decided to take the plunge and buy the pig. We were assured that they are very low maintenance, can be house broken, and are just all around great pets. And as you can see from the pictures she is very very cute.

I will spare you the details in between and just tell you that yesterday, after a two day stay with us, Pam found another home. She was a little more high maintenance than we were prepared for and 5 minutes after I posted her on the pet classifieds a lady and her son came to look at her and take her home. Quite an adventure. Lessons learned: 1) We won't be getting any more pets until we have kids old enough to care for them 2) We won't be getting any more pigs until we live on a farm. ;-)
