The Pictureless Post

Keziah reached a very significant milestone yesterday evening. I was so excited that I needed to share it with all of you, but I'm sure you will understand why we decided not to post any related pictures. After many unsuccessful attempts at going potty on the toilet, she finally succeeded! It was a family affair in the bathroom, both Zach and I cheering her on, and then it happened. It is hard to describe how excited one can get about hearing a "plop" in the toilet followed by a tinkle unless you have been there. Our idea was to reward her with such a yummy treat that she'd want to do it multiple times a day, every day. So I got out the M&M package specially reserved for this event. I gave her a few and after she sucked off the candy coating she proceeded to grimace and spit out the chocolate filling. I guess M&M's won't be the reward we were looking for. So we got her a cookie and she seemed pleased.

I know it is just the beginning of a long process to get rid of the diapers, but I am excited about passing the milestone nonetheless!
